Isle of Wight Steam Railway
Wednesday, August 6th, 10:00 – 16:00
Future Isle of Wight Community Interest Company are excited to announce our Retrofit Fair 2025 showing public and businesses how to reduce energy costs and cut their carbon footprint in their Homes and business, and what government grants are available.
What is a Retrofit Fair?
Retrofit refers to the process of upgrading existing homes and buildings to make them warmer, healthier, and cheaper to run — whether that’s through better insulation, smarter heating, or switching to renewable energy. The Retrofit Fair brings all of this together under one roof (or platform canopy!) to show you how it works in real life.
Whether you’re a homeowner, private landlord, tenant, or business owner, this event will give you the knowledge and tools to take action — from learning what funding you might be eligible for to seeing insulation, heat pumps, solar panels and other eco-tech in action.
A Day of Innovation, Inspiration & Action
Hosted at the much-loved Isle of Wight Steam Railway, the Retrofit Fair is set to be the Island’s largest showcase of green technology, sustainable living, and future-forward thinking.
Throughout the day, you’ll be able to:
- Speak with experts and trusted local installers
- Get free advice on how to save energy and reduce costs
- Discover what government and local grants are available
- Learn about home upgrades, renewable energy, and more
- Enjoy engaging presentations, live demonstrations and family-friendly activities
For Homes and Businesses
This isn’t just for homeowners, we’re inviting businesses from across the Island to discover how they can reduce their operational energy use and improve their environmental impact too. From better lighting and heating to waste reduction and EV charging, the Retrofit Fair has practical answers.
If your business or organisation installs retrofit measures, supports energy-saving upgrades, or provides related sustainable solutions, we’d love to hear from you.
