Supporting Local Businesses to Reduce Their Carbon Footprint
Future Isle of Wight is working alongside Greentech South to support businesses in their efforts to reduce their carbon footprint, by promoting 36% grant funding through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
There are some key details here to know:
The grant funding is limited and subject to an application process that helps to select the most deserving business proposal. There is a judging panel. The panel are looking for the impact and reasoning behind the sustainable steps that a business would like to take.
The measures that can attract funding include installing air source heat pumps, battery storage, EV charging or EV purchase.
The grant funding is set at 36%, up to a maximum of £25000. So, a business needs to contribute 64% of the cost of any scheme.
The first stage in the process is an application to join the programme. This then leads to an interview with Greentech South, and the formal application submission.
The good news for Island businesses is that Future Isle of Wight are available to help and support applicants in looking to join the programme and any subsequent application proper. All for no additional cost.
