Meet Vince, the founder and driving force behind Future Isle of Wight
As lead director of Future Isle of Wight, Vince has shaped its vision and direction, bringing extensive experience across construction, building performance, renewable energy and low-carbon technologies.
A Chartered Construction Professional, Building Surveyor and Member of the Chartered Institute of Building (MCIOB), Vince has project managed the delivery of more than 4,000 renewable energy installations, including solar PV, solar thermal and air source heat pump systems.
Through Future Isle of Wight, he has helped develop and deliver UKRI-funded innovation projects exploring practical ways to reduce carbon emissions, improve energy efficiency and make homes and businesses more sustainable. His work has included major European research collaborations in areas such as bi-directional EV charging, retrofit, indoor air quality and healthier, more energy-efficient homes.
Vince is passionate about turning research and technical expertise into practical solutions that benefit residents and businesses alike. Awarded an MBE for his work tackling Island fuel povery, he remains a strong advocate for innovation, collaboration and sustainable projects that deliver measurable benefits for communities.
